I neutrini all’OPERA

The OPERA experiment, based on the observation of about 16000 neutrino events measured at Gran Sasso, seems to indicate that the neutrinos travelled at 25 parts per million above the speed of light. The article describes some details of the procedure for measuring the neutrinos’ velocity and briefly outlines possible experimental checks and some implications for theory.
