Alcune applicazioni didattiche del computer collegato on-line

The transit times of an air-track trolley are measured with an uncertainty of about 10 micro-s with a Commodore C64 computer connected to expressly built optical sensors. We describe the hardware and software of this cheap and simple device and we report some experimental results. Our experiments show that, besides its remarkable quickness and versatility in storing and processing experimental data, a computer connected on-line allows to perform experiments that would be difficult to effect otherwise.
